My name is Catherine Johnson Mincy. I am a dentist in my hometown and work with my dad, also a dentist. I am married to my college sweetheart–19 years in May! I have two daughters, Meridith 11 & Leslie Kate 8.
About the alias: When I first discovered the internet back in 1997 or so, my first message board experience was on a defunct Ole Miss Sports message board called the Rebel Vent. Rebel referred to my status as an Ole Miss Rebel fan, and DDS referred to my (then newly achieved) degree–Doctorate of Dental Surgery. From there, I moved on to other message boards, usually where I already knew one or more posters from other boards, so I kept the same name. Now…I just accept that it’s my online identity…I have enough trouble managing one, so I certainly don’t need more!
